So Allergan have two ranges of hyaluronic acid filler, their Juvedern Ultra range, which was the first generation of hyaluronic acid fillers and then they have the Vycross range, which is a relatively new range, this is the second generation. They both have their place within your aesthetic practise and the differences really are the actual manufacturing process, so they have slight differences within the high molecular weight, low molecular weight and also the cross linking. So the Vycross range has been designed to be slightly longer lasting then the Juvederm Ultra, it is slightly more expensive so the price point may be an indicator of which product you're going to chose for your patient, and every one of these products has it's own place in terms of how you use it. You can interchange them and it really id just that the Juvederm Ultra was first generation and the Vycross range is the second generation of product. Vycross range lasts slightly longer and it does seem to sort of integrate into the skin tissues slightly more effectively and can create a softer look so depending on the treatment outcomes, depending on what areas you want to use it, that will determine which product that you use.

When it comes to facial fillers, there are a lot of options out there, and it can be difficult to know which one is right for you. Two popular options are Volux and Voluma, both made by the company Juvederm. While both of these fillers build volume and create lift, they have some important differences. One of the main differences between Volux and Voluma is where they are injected. Voluma is FDA-approved for the chin and cheeks, while Volux is FDA-approved to treat the chin and jawline. This means that if you're looking to sculpt and reshape your chin and jawline, Volux may be the better choice for you. Another difference is the consistency of the fillers. Volux has more structure, cohesivity, and lift capacity than Voluma, making it a lot firmer. This firmness is what allows Volux to provide that chiseled jawline that many people are seeking. In fact, Volux is a slightly more cohesive and thicker formula than Voluma, which makes it mimic bone. Volux is injected along the edge of the mandible or the jawline, at the angle of the jaw and in the lower chin. The purpose is to define the jawline. It's to be used in conjunction with mid-face and outer cheek volume replacement as well as volume replacement and definition of the chin. Voluma is used for the cheeks and chin and should be the initial phase of treatment to be followed by Volux . In some younger patients, it's possible that only Volux may be needed to define the jaw placement is either deep or on the bone with a needle or superficial placed under the skin with a cannula. This is similar to how we currently use Voluma. Due to the density of Volux and its placement just over the bone. Tenderness after treatment is expected. As with all fillers, mild swelling, tenderness and bruising are possible. Volux can be manipulated just after placement similar to Voluma. Like all fillers, Volux is reversible with the use of Hyaluronidase. The only other filler FDA approved for jawline definition is Radiesse, a particulate filler that cannot be dissolved in the event of undesired placement or due to medical complications or undesired outcome.
